Sounds Like a Party

Psalm 98 sounds like a party. There is shouting and singing and playing of instruments. God is being celebrated for His salvation, His righteousness, His mercy, and His judgment. I believe that the genuine follower of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ has so much to be excited about. This world is messed up…and it’s not going to get any better. But this has not caught God by surprise and He is still in charge. There is no excuse for a pity party. There is reason for joy and there is reason for celebration! The last verse hopefully wraps things up pretty well: “For He is coming to judge the earth. With righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples with equity.”
