Being an Enemy of God Is Not a Good Career Move

Psalm 68 is another in the line of psalms that talk about the greatness of God. David begins with these words: “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered. Let those also who hate Him flee before Him, As smoke is driven away so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God”. That’s a pretty interesting metaphor. “as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God”. We’ve all seen wax melt in heat. It just sort of runs away in the heat. This is the way that David sees the fate of God’s enemies. It’s not a good career move to be an enemy of God. You are going to be on the wrong side for now and for eternity. The enemies of God may have some apparent victories but in the end, they will not win; rather, they will face judgment, like running wax…and that is not a good career move! Please pray for the people you know who are currently an enemy of God (which is anyone who has not received Jesus Christ as Savior). Tell them about Jesus. Ask them to receive Him. It’s never too late to change careers!
