SPRING CLEANING Part 1″Are You Busy Being Lazy”

Part 1

Are You Busy Being Lazy

I want to focus on the cleaning of the inside of our _______________; not the inside of our ______________.

It is absolutely possible to be ____________ and _____________ at the same time.

We are __________________ busy.

The follower of Jesus has a primary agenda:  _______________

Romans 12:10-18

10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[a] Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Hebrews 6:11-12

11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

We are all going to _________________ all of our time.  Are we _________________ it fulfilling God’s agenda?

God can “clean out” the laziness by giving me His….

1.  _________________________.

For many, perspective improves with _____________.

The _______________ of our time reminds us of the ________________ to make our time count as a servant of         the Lord.  Psalm 90:4-5

A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.
Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death—
they are like the new grass of the morning

James 4:13-15

Boasting About Tomorrow

13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

Do you have God’s ___________________ on your time?

2.  _____________________.

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

It takes ________________ to have God’s priorities.

The Bible is the best “__________  _____________” known to   mankind.

Does your service for the Lord have your highest           ___________________?

3.  ________________________.

Apart from God, what can you accomplish on this           earth that will really ________________?

            1 Corinthians 15:58

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

The productivity we have as God’s servants will matter for all ___________________.
