You’re a Masterpiece!

I don’t know if anyone has told you that or not lately but in Christ you are a masterpiece. In Ephesians 2 we have some amazing teaching about who we are in Jesus Christ and what Jesus has done for us. I know I said yesterday that the paragraph in Ephesians 1 was special and it is; but there is another very special section in Ephesians 2. After reminding us that we are saved by our faith in this amazing God, we read this in verse 10: 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. The word “workmanship” means “masterpiece”. God has crafted you as a masterpiece but not one to simply display on a shelf but rather a masterpiece with a purpose. You have been created and crafted to do the work that God has for you to do…and that He has already laid out for you.  Are you doing that? If not, why not? God has important work for you to do regardless of your situation and circumstances in life or regardless of what you think your ability or lack of ability looks like. God has a plan for you, you “masterpiece”. I pray that you get to work doing that which you have been crafted to do!
